ABOUT
Ground survey.
Abhinav is originally from Boarijore, Godda — a village in the Santhal Pargana region of Jharkhand — and grew up in Dumka, which remains home. School years were spent largely away from home, in hostels from Class 4 onward, before an engineering and mining career that has stayed rooted in the same region: Rajmahal, in the Santhal Pargana coalfields.
At work, that means running excavation and land-acquisition operations for Eastern Coalfields Limited, a Coal India subsidiary. Outside it, it means a part-time PhD, a camera, and a drone.
The department's paperwork side runs on small self-built PHP/SQLite tools instead of registers and spreadsheets — no cloud, no external servers, everything local on the office LAN.

EXPERIENCE
Working levels.
Just over eight years with Coal India Limited, across two very different postings.
- Handles RTI applications and related casework under the Right to Information Act, 2005, alongside the department's broader land and development work.
- Initiated and secured employment for 36 land losers in FY 2025–26 — the highest number placed in a single year across the last decade at Rajmahal OCP.
- Handled land acquisition casework for the Rajmahal Open Cast Project — parcel tracking, revenue coordination, and case processing.
- Applied working knowledge of the Santal Pargana Tenancy Act 1949, the Land Acquisition Act, the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act 1957, the RFCTLARR Act 2013, and CIL's Rehabilitation and Resettlement Policy 2012 to compensation, rehabilitation, and employment casework.
- Part of the committee handling grievances connected to land acquisition activity across Rajmahal Area, following promotion to Deputy Manager (Excavation) in 2023.
- Joined Coal India Limited in February 2018 as Management Trainee (Excavation); promoted to Assistant Manager in 2019.
- Looked after field equipment — specifically electrical P&H rope shovels of 20 cubic metre capacity — as excavation maintenance engineer until January 2023.

Departmental software built from scratch, hosted locally on office LAN — no external dependencies.
A full issue-tracking system for the office: nested issues, drag-and-drop priority ranking, directive and follow-up logging, recurring reminders, a document library, and people/department management, with WhatsApp-friendly export for quick sharing.
Public file-tracking via QR codes generated per case, with multi-select mouza and application-type tagging through junction tables, and LAN-accessible tracking links for field reference.
A canvas-based tool for revenue village maps: polygon and flood-fill parcel selection, CSV-driven colour overlays, and mouza-level land parcel tracking for acquisition case work.
A structured record-entry system with a struct-like single-record field model, field-level user permissions, a customisable dashboard with widgets and charts, and a full audit log of every change.
